Lead designer – Shareagift

Feb 2011  –  Jan 2014  (3 years)

At Shareagift I had the  amazing opportunity to take on the “full meal deal” challenge of Social Group Gifting (in it’s early days at the time), working on the product since its very inception, up to launch and growth. For 3 years I worked on all aspects of the product’s UI/UX and actively participated on the startup’s ongoing development of business plans, pitch decks, and recruitment. In 2013 I project managed a full product restructure, critical to captivate and persuade a major round of investment.

Jose is an absolutely superb designer – one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of working with. His ability to focus on the essence of the problem, and delivery clean, uncluttered solutions is second to none.
Jonathan Midgley, CTO Absolute Technology Portfolio

Education – Industrial / Product Designer ESAD

Set 1997 – Jun 2001

I trained at ESAD as an Industrial Designer. With a first shared curriculum year on Graphic Design, my passion was always shared between the two disciplines (both Industrial and Graphic Design), a constant that has proven consistent throughout my following experiences at work, specially when in 1999 I started to get involved with the web. Along with the fundamentals of User Centered Design, ergonomics, and project development, I was able to get first hand learning on Typography, grids, composition and other aspects of communication design that have been fundamental to my designer tool set.
